GETTING READY FOR HUNTING SEASON: BUYING A GUN IN TEXAS

It’s never too early to look at buying a gun in Texas for this year’s hunting season.  Of course, you want to make sure the dealer you use treats its customers right because poor customer service is something no one should have to put up with.  With that in mind, here are some things to look for in a quality gun shop:

1. How long has the shop been in business?  While every company was new at one time or another, in general, it makes sense to work with well-established merchants whenever possible.  Dury’s has been in San Antonio since 1959 and enjoys an excellent reputation among both buyers and other business owners.

2. Does the shop stand behind its sales?  Even the best-made firearms occasionally develop problems that require the services of a trained gunsmith.  So make sure that the dealer you choose will repair or replace anything it sells that later turns out to be defective.  Dury’s offers a lifetime warranty on every gun it sells, whether new or pre-owned.

3. Is the shop staffed by firearms professionals who can answer your questions accurately?  Nothing is more frustrating than buying a gun in Texas from the same place where you get your milk and laundry detergent, only to get a baffled look when you ask the person behind the counter a simple question.  Purchasing a weapon is a serious decision and should be handled by those who know the business.

4. Does the dealer offer a wide selection of high-quality firearms?  While most guns sold these days are reasonably well-made, a few companies churn out inferior models that can cause more trouble than they’re worth.  Make sure the dealer you use only sells weapons that you can count on to perform safely and reliably at all times.

We think that, when you consider all these factors, you’ll agree that Dury’s is an excellent choice for your next firearms purchase.  So browse our online selections or drop by to see us in person.  You’ll be glad you did.
