1. Unless you’re already well acquainted with them, be sure to learn about the weapons that are up for auction. Sometimes the difference between a valuable antique and a cheap, inferior model can hinge on a single character in the model number or name, and guns made in particular years can sometimes be much more valuable than those from other years due to historical or quality reasons. 2. Have a set budget in mind before you start bidding, and don’t go over it. 3. Be careful whom you deal with, especially if the auction is online.
